XYZ- Analysis Based on Inventory Value
As we have seen that the basic for ABC classification was the consumption value of the items. But the basis of the XYZ- classification is the closing Inventory value of the items.
- X denotes Items with high inventory value
- Y denotes Items with moderate inventory value
- Z denotes Items with low inventory value
This analysis helps us in identifying the items which are being stocked extensively.
